Dr Barron matriculated from Springfield Convent in Cape Town with a 90% aggregate, going on to obtain her MBChB from Stellenbosch University in 2003.
She did her medical internship at New Somerset Hospital in the Surgical and General medical departments, and her Community Service at at Delft Community Hospital and at Mowbray Maternity Hospital in the Neo-natal department.
After her Community Service, Dr Barron was a locum tenens for various general practitioners in Cape Town, including Dr Kathan, Dr Roos, Dr Waschnig, and Dr Ranchod. In 2006, she bought her current practice in Steenberg from the retiring Dr Hassan.
Dr Barron submits monthly medical journal articles and attends ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and Annual GP Refresher Courses at:
